Rampage, the biggest drum & bass / dubstep party in the universe, has rescheduled their huge 2021 event to 10th & 11th December.
It’s almost a year to the day since Rampage became the first major event to suffer at the hand of the global Covid-19 pandemic. The cancellation of the Rampage 2020 event in Antwerp, just hours before it was due to take place, became international news. Since then the whole music events industry has gone into hibernation with almost all large scale events in the northern hemisphere cancelled or postponed until it’s deemed safe enough to resume.
In their own words Rampage admit that “It was devastating“. We can fully empathise.

Light At The End Of The Tunnel
A full year later and there is light at the end of the tunnel. Vaccinations are proving effective, infection and patient numbers are going down and plans for the reopening of society are being rolled out. In the UK the government have set out their roadmap for re-opening the country with many clubs & festivals selling out as soon as tickets go on sale.
Regrettably for an indoor event the size of Rampage, which caters for around 30,000 people over a weekend, the reopening isn’t happening fast enough to proceed with their originally rescheduled date in April 2021.

Hopes High For December
In a statement on their social media pages Rampage have said;
“While several countries have already opened up and others are well on their way to an exciting summer, we choose to take our precautions and we have now locked in dates on December 10 and 11 of this year, providing enough time for international travel to be on point and all rules and regulations everywhere to be streamlined.“
“We need, of course, to be able to bring people from 70 different countries together in one place!“
Those of you that have tickets, they will be automatically transferred over to the new dates. More information can be found over at the official Rampage website, including details for those who can’t make the rescheduled dates at the Sportpaleis in Antwerp, Belgium.

Rampage Online
The Rampage crew haven’t been sat of their hands over the past 12 months while events have been locked off. As well as preparing for their huge D&B weekender in Belgium, they’ve also maintained a great online presence, keeping all their loyal fanbase fed with tasty videos & live streams.
Most recently we saw the release of the immersive Phantasyland live stream, but make sure you also check out their YouTube channel for footage from Rampage Radio featuring Pendulum & Delta Heavy, the Souped Up Showcase featuring Serum, Bou & T>I, and the brilliant Level Up stream from Murdock
