Eksman’s Birthday Bash is taking place on Saturday 7th August and we have a pair of tickets to give away!
MC Eksman is celebrating his birthday with a huge party at the illustrious Brixton Electric in London. This annual event is always the hottest ticket in town. Unfortunately he had to forgo the huge birthday bash last summer due to the ongoing global pandemic, and while he kept himself busy in the studio over lockdown working on new music, we are sure Eks is itching to get back on stage… No doubt Eksman will be bringing something special to this years proceedings to make up for lost time!

Electric Brixton
The venue has undergone various incarnations over its 107 year history, all aimed at being a place of entertainment & enjoyment for people in & around London. It opened in 1911, during the days of silent movies, as The Palladium Picture House cinema.

In the 70’s it transformed into a live music venue The Ace which hosted punk and new romantic bands such as The Clash and The Smiths through to the 1980’s.
In the mid 80’s the venue was renamed again becoming The Fridge. The Fridge was seminal to dance music culture, being one of the first London club venues to include video screens and a chill-out lounge. Of course it also played host to huge acts such as New Order, Eurythmics, the Pet Shop Boys, R&B act Soul II Soul had a residency playing hip hop and funk at the venue in the late 80s, with Jazzie B (founder of the Soul II Soul collective) describing the club by saying “It has a certain ambience that new venues don’t have“.
While it may be a classic building, the venue underwent at multi million pound refurbishment in 2011 when it finally became Electric. Now boasting state of the art sound & lighting, Electric retains it’s Edwardian history by including many of the buildings original features adding to its grandiose classical look.
