Following a year of musical highs, DJ Die returns with renewed fire, ready to ignite 2026 with a run of brand-new singles on his esteemed GutterFunk imprint.
The Mercury Music Prize winner and bass music OG – equally at home in the UK charts as in the darkest corners of the club – kicks off the campaign with ‘The Specialist Funk.’
Already shaping up as a serious dancefloor weapon, ‘The Specialist Funk’ has been lighting up rooms for those lucky enough to hear early versions. Built on cinematic strings, a jazzy rolling bassline, ghostly vocal touches and uncompromising energy, the track has caused standout moments at Manchester’s Warehouse Project, DJ Die’s sold-out Fabric London show, and a powerful homecoming set at Bristol’s Strange Brew.
A statement start to the year, and a clear signal of what’s to come.
