Having just announced last month that they had signed exclusively to the iconic Technique Recordings, D&B production duo Killswitch this week dropped their first release on the label featuring the tracks ‘Mug’ & ‘My Selecta’.
The name Killswitch will be familiar to those of you that follow our label, before catching the ear of Simon Bassline Smith we at LoveThatBass were the first to recognise the talent in these guys. In 2021 we released their debut single ‘The Beginning’, followed by ‘What Tune’ the following year.
To celebrate the their inaugural release on Technique Recordings we asked the Killswitch guys to tell us their 6 favourite Technique releases, here’s what they came back with…
Drumsound & Bassline Smith – Can You Feel It
Instant vinyl purchase! Classic track which is very catchy and fun to mix. Great to drop in sets nowadays. Rinsed by pretty much everyone back in the day
Skyver & D Jon – Broken and Twisted
Great track! Heard first on a Dieselboy CD and instantly loved the vibe and energy the tune brought. All about the synth melody.
Tantrum Desire – Guided Rhythm
Again a very catchy synth/arp and vocal on this track by an amazingly talented artist. A hybrid of liquid/ jump up! Really good track for the dance floor
Drumsound and Bassline Smith – Jungle All The Way
A very hard hitting track. One of the first foghorn type tracks to be released that would influence the scene for the next few years. Released around the time the majority of drum and bass stopped being released on vinyl which is a shame for this EP
Drumsound and Bassline Smith – Ecstasy
Released around the beginning of lockdown. It has Old Skool jungle/hardcore meets foghorn type vibes. Too many throw away tracks around the last few years this isn’t one of them
Jam Thieves – Harbourside
Recently released on Technique. We were sent promos for the whole EP a while before the release and we were blown away by the production and mix-downs. Great EP!
