Carl Cox Hospital Records D&B Mix

-

World renowned DJ Carl Cox has thrown his hat into the drum and bass genre once again with the latest instalment of his Cabin Fever mix series.

It was only a month ago that we featured news of Carl Cox playing a D&B set on the Eats Everything podcast.

This time round Coxy played an all Hospital Records Showcase for his very own Mixcloud Select stream as part of his ongoing Cabin Fever Vinyl Sessions.

25 Years of Hospital Records

The timing of this Carl Cox Hospital Records D&B Mix ties in nicely with Hospital Records celebrating their milestone 25 years since the label was established & started releasing music.

Kicking off with ‘Burn’ from the DRS & Dynamite album ‘Playing In The Shadows‘, this mix covers tracks from all your favourite Hospital Records artists including Netsky, Danny Byrd, London Elektricity, Voltage, Nu:Tone, plus many more!

In his introduction to the show, Carl professed his love for the drum & bass genre saying…

I’ve always loved this music & for me to get back playing this sound again is an absolute pleasure

Switching Genres

This isn’t the first time Mr Cox has strayed from the house & techno genres he’s known for in his Cabin Fever sessions. He recently did a brilliant 70’s & 80’s mix, and for show number he 45 played a set exclusively on 7” vinyl at 45rpm! The passion he has for DJing after such a long & esteemed career is still clearly evident.
