Over 30 years ago Jungle Music was born and as the sound exploded across the UK, one of the original brands showcasing this fresh exciting music culture was ‘Jungle Mania’ known for putting on some of the best raves across the country and showcasing the who’s who of jungle legends, from Grooverider to Andy C, the brand was always at the forefront of this new vibrant scene.
This led to the 3 CD compilations, which cemented ‘Jungle Mania’ as a byword for the music itself and they are regarded as a defining catalogue of the biggest hits of the era. Pretty much everyone and their dog had a copy, it was like the dance music equivalent to the “Now thats what I call music” series!
The original shows truly captured the spirit of jungle music, breaking down barriers and bringing together such a diverse crowd representing all races and creeds. Fast forward to the present time and Jungle Mania is still the the UK’s leading Jungle event and the closest thing to experiencing what it was really like to rave at the peak of the explosion back in the mid 90’s.
Now the Jungle sound is going through a new period in the spotlight, with the emergence of new young stars capturing the hearts of a generation… It’s time to launch Jungle Mania Recordings, showcasing a fresh roster of artists that are staying true to that authentic sound with the power of todays modern production techniques!
Whether its Ragga Jungle, Amen work outs or Jump up Jungle , the label represents all the flavours that make this one of the greatest sounds to ever come out of the UK.
Jungle Mania now kicks of a new record label with a 4 track E.P from King Yoof, known for his involvement in the Ragga Jungle outfit Chopstick Dubplate. He’s also produced two chart topping albums for The Dub Pistols, clocked up 19 million YouTube hits with General Levy for the ‘Shape Of You’ remix & had several releases on Fatman D’s infamous Biological Beats imprint.
