In September 2019, Dutch electronic music trio Noisia announced that they would be going their separate ways at the end of 2020. The statement said that ““After 20 years of being Noisia, we are ready to become something new”
True to their word, the inevitable split got even more real with the release of their very last Noisia Radio Podcast
Loyal Listeners
Noisia Radio has gained a very loyal listenership over the past 5 and a half years, and they’ve released a staggering 289 episodes in that time. The show even won the coveted Best Podcast trophy at the recent D&BArena Awards.
This isn’t the end of the road though. While Thijs, Martijn & Nik will no longer be recording music together as Noisia, they will still be running their Vision and Division labels.
In an interview with UKF back in 2019 they were asked about the future of the Noisia Radio podcast, to which they answered “Everything that is based on or around Noisia kinda has to stop. It’s sad but it has to end. But we do love the show and we are aware of the role it plays and the community its created“
Vision For The Future
Yesterday Thijs, from the group, announced on his Twitter that Noisia Radio will be continuing as VISION Radio! One of their main reasons for wanting to continue the radio show was so they can continue to help support the scene & artists.
This name change also carries over to their production classes on Patreon. A notice on their page said that they want to shift the focus VISION (their label) and it’s growing world. If they keep the name Noisia attached, Noisia would still be the focus, even though they’ve already decided to stop Noisia
Farewell Tour
While Noisia had planned a farewell tour as one last goodbye to their fans, the global pandemic of 2020 has obviously thrown a spanner into the works. Their plan is to extend these dates into 2021. All we can do is be patient and wait for a further announcement via their website as to when those date will be rescheduled
