It’s fair to say that 2023 has been a great year for drum and bass music. This year, drum and bass emerged from the underground; it burst onto the main stage, its infectious energy tearing down genre barriers and shaking dance floors from London to Melbourne.
It was a year of collaboration, veterans like Chase & Status working with the new skool of artists like Bou, their combined magic conjuring up anthems like ‘Baddadann’ that scorched festival sets and mainstream charts alike..
Packed Out Festivals & Community
2023 wasn’t just about bangers and anthems. It was also about community, drum and bass brought people together. From packed-out festivals like WAH In The City, sold out club events such as Printworks closing parties, D&B clubbing holidays like the forthcoming Break Away in Kavos, to intimate basement sessions such as those hosted each week at XOYO which included residencies from S.P.Y, DJ Hype & Break.
It’s also been an amazing year for us here at LoveThatBass, our label reached new highs with some extremely talented producers joining the fold. Our web traffic has increased dramatically over the past 12 months, which is set to open new doors for us going forward. Thank you for your support.
So, here’s to 2023, the year drum and bass stomped and strutted onto the world stage, reminding everyone why it’s more than just music; it’s a movement, a feeling, a way of life!
