DJ Ollie – Abstract Funk

DJ Ollie comes with ‘Abstract Funk’ a hyper bubbly Drum & Bass dance floor number for his debut release on LoveThatBass!

Let’s be honest, this release was inevitable being that he is the man behind the LoveThatBass brand. What initially started as an idea over the lock down months has become an all encompassing drum and bass movement publishing regular news from the D&B scene plus of course a record label which is gaining notoriety.

While the past 12 months have been spent promoting other peoples music via the platform, now is DJ Ollie’s time to show what he’s made of. In his own words DJ Ollie said “I’ve made A LOT of music over the years but my own standards for myself are maybe a bit too high as only a handful of those tracks have ever seen the light of day. This track ‘Abstract Funk’ got tested a lot in sets, live streams & radio shows before I was confident enough it was worthy of a release.“

Abstract Funk walks the line between rolling bassline & jump up. A well balanced mix of snappy drums, a vibrant bass melody that skips across scales & organic sounds captured using more traditional recording techniques.
