DJ Ollie – What It Is

DJ Ollie has been representing drum & bass since the mid 90’s, DJing, working in record shops & promoting. His work behind the scenes has seen him involved with events & festivals across the UK & Europe.

During lockdown he launched the D&B LoveThatBass website to help spread the music he loves. This passion project has spawned a record label, also named LoveThatBass, which has released music from artists such as Kleu, Harley D, AKAS, Jaydan, Glitch City & Lowriderz to name a few.

DJ Ollie’s latest offering was originally written during lockdown, ‘What It Is’ takes the experimental ethos of original jungle tracks from the early 90’s, taking sounds from other genres and bending them into something new and exciting…

“When the pioneers of jungle were first making music there was no formula. I wanted to take that same mindset, to be inspired from outside my own genre, to create something original, new jungle music that wasn’t inspired by old jungle records”
